How much is a tick on ES?
One tick on ES (E-mini S&P 500) is 0.25 index points and is worth $12.50 per contract. A full point is 4 ticks, or $50.
What is the MNQ tick value?
MNQ (Micro E-mini Nasdaq-100) moves in 0.25-point ticks worth $0.50 per contract, so one point is $2. NQ, the E-mini, is ten times bigger: $5 a tick, $20 a point.
What is the tick value of gold futures?
Gold futures (GC) move in $0.10 ticks worth $10 per contract, because one contract is 100 troy ounces. Micro Gold (MGC) is 10 ounces, so its $0.10 tick is worth $1.

The basics
Ticks, points and micros
Tick vs point
A tick is the smallest price step. A point is a full unit of price. ES moves 0.25 at a time, so 4 ticks make a point: $12.50 a tick, $50 a point. On YM a tick and a point are the same: 1 point, $5.
Micro vs E-mini
Micros are one tenth of the E-mini. MES is $1.25 a tick against $12.50 for ES; MNQ $0.50 against $5 for NQ; MYM and M2K $0.50 against $5. Same chart, one tenth of the dollars.
Working out P&L
P&L = ticks moved × tick value × contracts. Eight ticks on ES is 8 × $12.50 = $100 per contract; on MES it is $10. Twenty ticks (5 points) on NQ is $100; on MNQ $10. Commission and fees come off after.

Futures tick value questions, answered.
What is the MES tick value?
MES (Micro E-mini S&P 500) is $1.25 per 0.25-point tick, or $5 a point, per contract. It is one tenth of ES.
What is the NQ tick value?
NQ (E-mini Nasdaq-100) is $5 per 0.25-point tick, or $20 a point, per contract.
What is the CL tick value?
CL (WTI crude oil) moves in $0.01 ticks worth $10 per contract, since one contract is 1,000 barrels. Micro WTI (MCL) is 100 barrels, so $1 a tick.
What are the YM and RTY tick values?
YM (E-mini Dow, $5) moves 1 point at a time, worth $5. RTY (E-mini Russell 2000) moves 0.10 points, worth $5. Their micros, MYM and M2K, are $0.50 a tick.
Do tick values change?
Rarely. The exchange sets them in the contract specs, and they stay fixed unless the exchange changes the contract. Margins change often; tick values almost never.

Can I import my existing trade history?
Yes - CSV import is available on every plan, including free. If you've been tracking trades in a spreadsheet, broker export or another journal, export the CSV from wherever it lives and import it into Dusk Analyst; the journal matches it against your accounts and keeps your history continuous. Import is also the fallback for platforms that don't run MT4, MT5, cTrader or NinjaTrader 8. For MT4/MT5/cTrader/NinjaTrader terminals, Pro auto-syncs going forward and the EA backfills any trades your terminal missed while it was off. Any platform that exports a CSV of your trade history works. Dusk Analyst recognises TradingView, Tradovate, cTrader, MT4 and MT5 exports on sight; for anything else you map your columns once and that parser is saved for next time. Comma, semicolon and tab files are all handled, day-first and month-first dates are detected from the file itself, and any row that cannot be read is listed for you rather than dropped quietly.
How many AI credits do I get with Dusk Analyst Pro?
Pro includes 1,000 AI trade-analyses every month. One credit covers one trade, so asking a question about a 40-trade week costs 40 credits and you can keep asking. The allowance resets on the 1st of each month and the counter sits in the top bar of the app, so you always know where you stand. Narrowing a question to one account or a shorter date range makes the same allowance go much further. Free accounts get a small number of AI credits to try AI Insights, alongside the full journal, analytics and weekly reports, and the free Pro week (5 trading days, no card) includes the full monthly allowance.
