Auto-sync with MT4, MT5 and cTrader
On Pro, a read-only Expert Advisor or cBot pushes your closed trades to the journal by itself. Open Connectors in the sidebar for the full step-by-step with screenshots.
What auto-sync looks like
26 seconds: a trade closed in MetaTrader 4 shows up in Dusk Analyst on its own. The steps below set it up.
Steps
- Select the account book you want to sync, open Connectors, and add a connector for your platform.
- Copy that book's API key.
- Download the EA or cBot from the same page and install it: MT4 goes in MQL4\Experts, MT5 in MQL5\Experts\Advisors, cTrader is loaded from the Algo tab.
- In MetaTrader, enable WebRequest for https://duskanalyst.com under Tools, Options, Expert Advisors — MT5 also needs algorithmic trading enabled.
- Attach the EA or cBot to any chart, paste the API key into its inputs, and let it run.
- It pushes your existing closed history on first attach, then keeps up as trades close. If the terminal was off, it backfills what it missed.
Good to know
- The EA and cBot only read your closed trade history. They never place or modify orders.
- cTrader must run the cBot locally — cloud cBots cannot make web requests.
- TradingView is import-only. Its connector card says Coming soon and cannot be added yet; bring TradingView trades in as a CSV.
- Each connector card shows when it last synced, or Never synced if it has not reported in.
