On Pro, a read-only NinjaScript add-on sends each closed NinjaTrader 8 trade to your journal with its commission, and P&L is net of commission. A trade is one flat-to-flat round trip per instrument, so many partial fills become one trade. It runs in NinjaTrader 8 desktop on Windows; NinjaTrader web and mobile cannot run add-ons.

Steps

1. Open the account book you want to sync, open Connectors and start auto-sync. Pick NinjaTrader 8 and press Download. You get dusk-analyst-ninjatrader.zip in your Downloads folder.
2. In the NinjaTrader 8 Control Center, open Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On… and pick dusk-analyst-ninjatrader.zip. Pick the zip itself; don’t unzip it. NinjaTrader compiles it for a few seconds. When it says Import successful, press OK (press Yes if it asks to overwrite an older copy).
3. In the Control Center, open New → Dusk Analyst Sync. It is at the bottom of the New menu.
4. Paste your key into API key. Choose the account to sync, or All accounts (Playback is always skipped).
5. If your connection does not report commission (Sim accounts and some brokers), type your commission per contract, per side. When NinjaTrader does report commission, its own figure is used instead.
6. Press Save and sync. The add-on sends the closed trades NinjaTrader has loaded, then each new trade arrives when you go flat. The wizard says Connected with the number of trades that came in.

Good to know

• History: the add-on can only send fills NinjaTrader has loaded, which is usually the current session. For older trades, export them from NinjaTrader and import the file.
• Keep NinjaTrader 8 open and connected to your account for trades to come through. Trades sent once are never sent again, even after a restart.
• Not syncing? Check NinjaTrader is open and connected, the add-on imported without errors, and the whole key was saved in Dusk Analyst Sync.
• The add-on only reads your fills. It never places, changes or closes orders, and Dusk Analyst never asks for your NinjaTrader or broker password.
