Tags
Tags are how you find out which setup actually pays. Open Tags in the sidebar to manage them.
Video walkthrough coming soon
A short video showing each of these steps will appear here.
Steps
- The first time you open Tags, fifteen common tags are created for you — platforms, outcomes, strategies and setups.
- To add your own, type a name, pick a category, and click + Add tag.
- To remove one, click the x on its chip. Some tags cannot be deleted; see below.
- Tag a trade by opening it and clicking chips in the Tags section.
Good to know
- Categories are Custom, Strategy, Platform, Broker, Setup and Outcome. The category sets the chip colour — there is no colour picker, and tags cannot be renamed.
- Winner, Loser and Breakeven are applied automatically from each trade's P&L, and re-applied whenever the P&L changes. Platform tags are applied by whatever imported the trade. Neither can be toggled by hand.
- Auto-tagging only works if the tag already exists. If you have never opened the Tags view, nothing has been created yet and your trades will not be tagged — open it once to seed them.
- Reports include a tag performance table, so tagging consistently is what makes reports useful.
